Join us for a challenging hill climb up Mt. Evans. We will be riding from Idaho Springs (8700 ft.) to the top of Mt. Evans (14,240 ft.) on Sunday, July 31st. Ride the highest paved road in North America! The first 4 miles from Idaho Springs are surprisingly flat, then there is a 4-6% grade to the entrance that continues to Summit Lake. The last 5 miles have grades of 2-5% but because you are riding above 12,000 ft., it will feel like 10-15% grade to the top. Be sure to bring a jacket, full-finger gloves, and plenty of hydration. It may be 90 degrees in Denver, but 40 degrees and windy at the top of the hill.
